Partial Weaning

Definition:

Partial Weaning is a great alternative if the mother is not quite sure she wants to fully wean yet. She chooses certain feedings to eliminate and continues breastfeeding for the others. This is an excellent choice for the overwhelmed mother. If she then feels that she wants to resume her old breastfeeding patterns, her supply will still be strong enough to do so without a lot of intervention.
