I found that I had to drink more than a gallon of water a day to make enough milk the next day. Not everyone subscribes to this solution, but it was definitely what worked for me.
First baby, fine - no probs. Second baby, the sheer fatigue of a colicky newborn and a naturally jealous 2.5 year old dried my milk supply up within a month of the birth !
