Bill Maher's Tirade on Breastfeeding
I'm confused. I always thought that "Real Time with Bill Maher" was supposed to be funny. In his last episode, he ranted about breastfeeding in public after a nurse-in at Applebee's was held. Women were protesting a case in which a manager had asked a customer to "cover up" while feeding her baby. Some of Maher's comments? "There is a place where breasts and food do go together...It's called Hooters." "Breastfeeding a baby is an intimate act and I don't want to watch strangers performing intimate acts. At least not for free." "It's not fighting for a right. It's fighting for the spotlight you surely will get when you go all "Janet Jackson" on everyone." The list goes on with one offensive comment after another. When I really thought about it, though, I realized that the most offensive part of all of this is the fact that Bill Maher was hired as a comedian.
